The sale of any used bicycle is final. That being said, every bike is given a safety check and any non-functioning parts replaced. Customers are welcome to test ride any of our used bikes. Unless you are looking for an old steel mountain bike, it is often the luck of the draw to find a proper size bicycle in the style you are interested in. Kent Cycle will not hold a used bicycle without at least a 50 percent deposit. We simply don’t have the room. Our used selection rotates quickly during the spring and summer months and we’ve helped a number of great bikes find new homes.

Kent Cycle accepts used bicycles as partial trade on the purchase of a NEW bicycle. There is no exact formula for appraisal, but we will inspect the prospective trade and evaluate how much work is required to make the bike safe and suitable for re-sale. After that, we’ll make an offer on the used bike and the sum will be deducted from the price during checkout. Kent Cycle will only accept trade-ins from IBD direct manufacturers (example- NO department store bikes,Wal-ly World, Big Mart, etc.) Schwinn is an interesting example because they essentially have two brands that share their iconic name. Schwinn labeled bikes can be found at Wal-Mart, Dick’s, and other department stores. These are much lower quality than the Schwinn Signature series that is sold exclusively to Independent Bike Dealers. The Schwinn Signature line retains the quality that bike dealers demand.
